Spotted in Berlin: Urban Cycling

Fixie Bike

I really got this need to stick to physical products, with all those digital stuff around me I sometimes just need something “real”. I got this fasciation for heritage, nostalgia, retro and things with a story behind it, and all those cool digital things can’t give me that. But also meeting real people is sometimes really difficult when talking to people with tools as social media is much easier.

That’s why I really liked this shop Standert in Berlin, it’s a combination between bikes, coffee and ice-cream. Not just normal bikes but Fixie Bikes, those fashionable bikes you customize yourself. It’s a place where you can meet other people and chill out a bit, but also can buy bikes and new parts for your bike.

In this store I learnt about this new lifestyle ‘Urban Cycling’. Just take a look!

This is a nice shop, I really like your photos and that you went there and chill with the people. I also have a fixed bike, only it’s a single speed because it’s not safe to bike in Amsterdam without any brakes.
